a person who seeks by contemplation and self-surrender or believes in the possibility of attaining, insight into mysteries transcending ordinary human knowledge, as by direct communication with the divine or immediate intuition in a state of spiritual ecstasy.

Peter and I have only been rocking since 2017.  I acquired these prints, sourced from a semi destroyed copy of Annie Leibovitz collectors edition monograph from which she shot these photos of Peter in 1979 for his album “Mystic Man.”

These photos once hung prominently in my space and always garnered the attention of visitor’s. There’s an air of mystery and simple beauty that surrounds Tosh in these photos. Seemingly elusive, locs covering his eyes, gold chains glistening against rich dark skin- it’s a timeless set of portraits. 

While I didn’t grow up listening to Tosh’s music- I appreciate it, and was fortunate to find this copy of “Mystic Man” in amazing condition a few months back. Tosh is most known as being a core member of the legendary Wailers alongside Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer. He became a very successful solo artist and advocate for the Rastafarian way of life.
